Apply for UME

The Urban Ministry Experience (UME) exists to provide Bethel College students with an experience to living, learning and serving in an under resourced neighborhood in the South Bend community. These college students live in the community for one year while learning from those they live alongside and serve. The students serve in the various ministries that are offered primarily to the youth of the community. They attend a weekly class that engages the issues of race, class, and poverty and discuss what the Bible has to say about it. They also receive individual mentoring from urban leaders.
